Well you’re going to Norway on Holiday. Nice choice. Arctic Exploring, skiing, attending a musical concert or day tripping through Nordic museums. Its all great and makes for a wonderful experience no matter what has drawn you to this beautiful country. However if the draw was the cheap flights to Norway, then you need to realize that that was the only part of your holiday that you’ll ever call cheap again.

It would stand to reason that the 2nd richest and most economically stable country in the world would have nothing cheap. Expect to pay upwards of £200 per night for a 5 star hotel and just a little under that for a mid class version even outside the city.

In a country where the janitor and CEO’s have a small difference in pay scale, expect across the board discounts to have a very narrow range. However in some holiday destinations you will pay the same high prices for accommodations and get real disappointing results. Not so in Norway. From the hotels and fancy restaurants to the youth hostels and small neighborhood cafe’s you will be treated like royalty and be provided with provisions well suited as well.

The phrase you get what you pay for has a whole new meaning in Norway where the standard of living is only matched by the standard of quality for residents and visitors alike.
