In the Netherlands, as in almost all the countries of northern Europe, breakfast is one of the most important meal of the day, so it tends to be heavy and it is common to mix both sweet and savory foods.

National Museum of Amsterdam (Rijksmuseum). It is without doubt one of the must-see in Amsterdam, especially for its collection of paintings from the Dutch Golden Age.
